Roles

Roles are a key element of D3’s access control system. Configuring roles allows restrictions on access to specific functionalities or data based on assigned roles, ensuring proper segregation of responsibilities and visibility. Unlike groups, which represent collective entities, role-based access control (RBAC) assigns permissions at the individual role level.

READER NOTE

Only Administrators can access the Organization Management module.

Adding a Role

  1. Navigate to Configuration > Organization Management > Roles.

  2. Click on the + Add Role button.

  3. Fill in the following fields:

    1. Enter a Role Name.

    2. (Optional) Enter a description for role.

  4. (Optional) Enable two-factor authentication to provide an additional layer of security for the role.

  5. Configure the necessary scopes according to the level of access required for the assigned user.

  6. Save the role.

Adding Users to a Role

  1. Click on a Role, select the Users tab, and then click on the Add Users button.

  2. Choose the users to add and save.
