‎Scheduling Commands

Scheduling commands in D3 vSOC automates routine tasks. Users can schedule commands for incident management, threat intelligence, notification workflows, system monitoring and more, reducing manual effort and assisting in maintaining operational compliance. By automating repetitive processes, scheduling commands allows security teams to focus on investigation, threat mitigation, and maintaining a proactive security posture.

Creating a Schedule

  1. Navigate to Configuration > Schedules.

  2. Click on the + button, then select either Integration Command or Utility Command.

Integration Command Schedule
  1. Fill out the required information.

    1. Enter a schedule name.

    2. Select an integration command. We will use the Office 365 integration for this example.

    3. Select a command to run.

    4. Fill in the necessary input parameters (none in this example).

    5. Select the start date and time for this schedule.

    6. Tick the Repeat checkbox.

      Within the popup:

      1. Select the time unit for repetition.

      2. Specify the frequency of execution based on the selected time unit.

      3. Define the schedule's end condition.

    7. Click on the Save button.

    8. Click on the + Start button.

After the schedule completes, for example, following 10 executions of the command, the results of each run will be displayed.

Utility Command Schedule
  1. Fill out the required information.

    1. Enter a schedule name.

    2. Select a utility command. We will use the custom command created in this guide.

    3. Fill in the required input parameter (in this case a JSON array).

    4. Select the start date and time for this schedule.

    5. Tick the Repeat checkbox.

      Within the popup:

      1. Select the time unit for repetition.

      2. Specify the frequency of execution based on the selected time unit.

      3. Define the schedule's end condition.

    6. Click on the Save button.

    7. Click on the + Start button.

After the schedule completes, for example, following 10 executions of the command, the results of each run will be displayed.
